WRAPTIE™ Environmental Impact

WRAPTIE™ Environmental Impact

This month marks WRAPTIE™ three year anniversary, and over the three years we've made it an core value of our business to give back to Mother Earth.

Our motto has been:

Everything thing we do has an impact on something else.
Our responsibility must be to protect what we can, whenever we can. And we should not be afraid to challenge the status quo to make the change happen.
By considering our environmental impact on our planet in every decision we make, we hope to create a brand that people where people are proud to work at and happy to buy from.
We strive to be Earth Friendly.

How WRAPTIE™ Gives Back

WRAPTIE strap systems are unique in many ways. The patented Fast Grab End and Quick Loop systems make WRAPTIE straps faster than any other tie down systems around.

However what our products are made of is what is most important to us. Over the last three years, we have turned 60,148 plastic bottles (and counting) into WRAPTIE products!

Other ways we ensure an earth friendly product and process:

  • WRAPTIE uses 0% single use plastic in any retail packaging.
  • We choose to reuse cardboard shipping boxes, when possible, when shipping products to our overseas customers.
  • 100% of our packaging is made from post-consumer waste recycled card and is 100% bio-degradable.
  • We use recycled materials whenever it is practical, for example:
    • Each of our WRAPTIE™ tie down straps contain on average, 1 x plastic bottle that has been taken from the waste stream and recycled.
    • Our WRAPTIE™ GRIPPER's contain more than 30% recycled rubber, taken from old tires and shoe soles.
  • All of our products carry a 2-Year warranty and are designed to last, meaning less waste for you.

If you're curious how a plastic bottle can be turned into a WRAPTIE™ strap, then have a look HERE!

 What's Our Recycling Goal?

Our goal, to put it simply, is to turn over 1,000,000 plastic bottles in brand new WRAPTIE™ tie down straps.

The WRAPTIE team cares deeply about the health of the planet, and doing our part to ensure a better environmental future for it. It's been a long journey for Co-Founders Mark and Paul.

Mark remembers exactly where his environmental journey began.

"My wife and I had moved to Thailand for work and I saw again the incredible amount of pollution washed up on the beaches that I finally decided that I need to do something. I wasn’t really sure what I could do, but I couldn’t just sit there, watching the planet get consumed by our waste."

So with each year WRAPTIE is creating tie down strap systems, as well as other unique products created from recycled materials, we get closer to the goal of 1,000,000 plastic bottles turned into useful products for you.

Why Buy rPET?

Well, there's the obvious: by purchasing products made with rPET you are reducing the amount of plastic waste to be dumped into landfills.

And there is this, nicely put by our friends at EarthHero:

"When companies choose to use rPET in their products, they provide a market for recycled plastics. Like any business, recycling facilities have to make money–if they’re not turning a profit from the materials they collect, they’ll stop collecting them. When consumers purchase products made with recycled content, they’re sending a message to companies that they value their sustainability efforts! By creating awareness and demand for recycled products, we help solidify recycling programs and recycled goods as valuable pieces in the production process."
